With the goal of confirming and characterizing the apparent diurnal and seasonal atmospheric methane fluctuations at Gale crater, Mars, this paper presents a coupled subsurface-atmospheric modeling study identifying strategic times for the MSL Curiosity rover to conduct atmospheric sampling experiments in an ongoing campaign.
